Payments

A deposit of $500 per person is due to start your registration and reserve your seat on the tour. It is refundable up to 90 days prior to departure minus a $50 admin fee.

At least 50% of your balance is due 90 days before the tour; the remaining balance is due 45 days before departure.

Your seat is not reserved until we receive your deposit!

Terms and Conditions

Written Notice:
All reservations, cancellations, changes, and special arrangements must be made in writing. Email shall be accepted as written notice.

Reservations, Deposits, and Payment:
To book a tour, submit a $500 deposit per person to reserve your spot. Your deposit is credited against the total tour cost of $5,450 per person. This does not include airfare or personal travel insurance.
Receipt of payment made be made in full or as follows: $500 deposit to confirm reservation, $2,475 by 90 days prior and the balance of $2,475 by 45 days prior to tour date. Checks may be made out to Footsteps Battlefield Tours or you may use a credit card directly through our company.

Cancellation and Refunds:
We will refund all payments you make for the tour if cancellation is received by us more than 90 days before departure, minus a $50 per person administrative fee. If cancellation is received by us between 60 and 90 days of the departure date, you will forfeit your $500 per person deposit. If cancellation is received by us between 30 and 60 days of tour departure, you shall be responsible for fifty (50%) percent of the tour cost. If cancellation is received by us less than 30 days before departure, you shall be responsible for the total tour cost.


Travel Insurance— Important:
We recommend that you purchase a travel insurance package. There are different travel insurance programs that are available. We believe two of the most important travel insurance provisions are those covering refunds for last-minute cancellation and for emergency medical coverage. Medical coverage is especially important if the trip goes outside the United States where many U.S. policies will not apply.


We recommend Travelex Insurance. When filling out a form for an insurance quote, use Location ID # 25-0141.


Please note that this is not the only company writing this type of insurance. You are free to use any travel insurance policy by any company.

Currency Fluctuations:
All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and are based on tariffs and exchange rates available at the time of publication. Prices are subject to adjustment in the event of international currency fluctuations, fuel increases or any unexpected increase in tour costs, state or local taxes, and/or local tariffs.

Travel Itineraries:
Trip materials, schedules, and special information will be emailed to participants for planning purposes after receipt of deposit and prior to departure. The schedule is tentative due to the possibility of slight changes during the tour.

Rooms:
Lodging is secured per single/double request. If you need an accessible room, please let us know.

Passports:
A valid passport is required for this tour. Because of airline restrictions and policies, the passport expiration date should not be less than three months after the completion of this tour. Airfare: Participants are encouraged to purchase airline tickets as soon as possible to get the best prices. Footsteps Battlefield Tours accepts no liability for the purchase of non-refundable airline tickets.

Luggage Allowances, Clothing, and Security:
We always encourage participants to pack light for the ease of traveling in a group. We only allow one piece of checked luggage with a flattened bag inside to bring back souvenirs on the return flight. One carry-on case and/or purse are the limit by most airlines. Pack comfortable travel clothing and walking shoes. Bring a warm jacket and winter outer clothing, e.g., gloves, hats, scarves. Comfortable travel attire or casual dress is acceptable for this tour. Be prepared for many security checkpoints at the airports and throughout the trip. Less is more!

Physicality:
Participants are solely responsible for being in good health to undertake this tour and for taking all appropriate medical precautions. We cannot provide medical advice including inoculations or health requirements of countries. Participants are strongly encouraged to research travel health questions. Our trip requires walking and getting in and out of vans and cars. You are responsible for judging your own capacity and to be able to do tour activities without delaying or infringing upon the progress of the trip or the other travelers. We must know at the time of your registration of any disability, handicap, health or dietary restriction, or any condition that may interfere with or limit your tour participation. Weather conditions may be very cold at this time of year. Please be sure that you are in good physical condition to be able to enjoy and fully participate in the activities of this trip. We do have ground support and assistance if needed.

Responsibility of Footsteps Battlefield Tours (FBT):
FBT acts only as the agent for the owners, contractors, and suppliers providing services, lodging, and transportation in connection with its tours. As an agent, our liability is limited specifically to the conditions assumed by those with whom we have specific contractual agreements. We are not responsible for baggage loss or damage. We recommend all tour participants to include baggage loss or damage as part of the travel insurance you may purchase. We are not responsible for losses or additional expenses incurred through delays or changes in flight schedules or transportation service, nor for injury, death, damage, delay, or losses due to weather, strikes, bankruptcy, quarantine, acts of war, terrorism, or civil disturbances, governmental edicts or regulations, acts of God, or any other causes beyond our control.

Itinerary Changes & Delays:
We will take all reasonable efforts to adhere to the published itinerary. However, if circumstances require it, we reserve the right to change or substitute any published plan. We also reserve the right to pass on to tour participants additional costs or savings.

We are in the research and tour business. Our aim is to do everything possible, within good judgment, to see that you have an enjoyable and safe trip with us.
